New gutters and fascia were fitted perfectly. No drips or leaks anymore. Very happy!
Fascias, Soffits and Guttering in Dorking and Surrey
Rotten timber at the eaves lets water into the roof and the walls. We replace fascias, soffits and guttering in uPVC, repair and realign existing gutters, and make sure everything falls to the outlets.
The roofline is the bit of the roof you can see from the pavement: the fascia board the gutter hangs on, the soffit underneath it and the bargeboards on the gables. On most houses around Dorking and Reigate they are the original painted timber, and once the paint goes the timber follows. Then the gutter brackets pull out, the gutter sags and overflows, and water runs down the brickwork and into the eaves.
We strip the old timber back, check the rafter feet, and fit new uPVC fascias, soffits and guttering that never need painting. Where the boards are still sound we can cap them. New guttering is set to the right fall with enough outlets so it actually drains, and we fit deep-flow gutters on roofs that overwhelm a standard profile in heavy rain.
What is included
- uPVC fascia boards, bargeboards and soffits, in white or woodgrain finishes
- Rotten timber removed and rafter feet repaired where needed
- New half-round, square or deep-flow guttering and downpipes
- Gutter repairs: leaking joints, sagging runs, realignment to the outlets
- Box gutters and parapet gutters relined
- Ventilated soffits to keep the loft dry

Signs your roofline needs replacing
- Paint flaking off the fascia and bare, grey timber showing
- Gutters that overflow in heavy rain or drip at the joints
- A gutter that has sagged away from the fascia
- Green staining or damp on the wall below the gutter
- Birds or wasps getting into the eaves
- Soffit boards that are bowing or have holes

How much do new fascias and soffits cost?
Roofline is priced by the metre, so a bungalow costs less than a two-storey semi, and a full replacement costs more than capping sound boards. Guttering is usually done at the same time because it has to come off anyway. We measure up, tell you which boards can be capped and which need replacing, and give you a fixed written quote that includes access.
Replace or cap?
If the timber underneath is dry and solid, capping it in uPVC is cheaper and perfectly good. If it is soft, rotten or the gutter brackets have pulled out, the timber has to come off, because capping rot just hides it while it spreads into the rafter feet.
What customers say.
5.0from 129 reviews on BarkFantastic service on our new roof. The work was finished earlier than expected, and they kept us informed every step of the way.
William responded to my request on Bark to replace a slate tile within minutes, and was able to do the work the same day, good job, fair price and nice guy.
Had a new roof installed last week. Very professional job from start to finish. Everything feels solid and looks great from the street.
Good questions, answered.
Anything else, just ask. You speak to Will or Sam, not a call centre.
Do you clean gutters?
We clear gutters as part of a repair or replacement, but we do not offer gutter cleaning on its own.
How long does roofline replacement take?
A typical semi takes one to two days with a tower or scaffold. A bungalow is usually a day.
Can you match my windows?
Yes. uPVC roofline comes in white, black, anthracite grey and woodgrain finishes, so it can match uPVC windows or dark fascias on a modern house.
Will new guttering stop the overflow?
Only if it is set to the right fall with enough outlets, which is the part most often done badly. We check the run and add outlets or switch to deep-flow guttering where a roof sheds a lot of water.
